Who need to be presented the 'Grande dame'? (the 'tall lady' as the French call her). This monument was erected for the 1889 universal exposition. Gustave Eiffel this ingenious engineer was the man behind this massive project. (He also worked on the statue of Liberty with Barthtoldy)
This monument was supposed to be dismantled after the exposition it never did and it's now the representation of France in the world.

Paris is near the Eiffel Tower, you can take a plane to Paris pretty easily. We suggest that you take a hotel in the centre of Paris as the suburbs of Paris are definitely not the best places to stay.
Once you are in Paris just take the suburban transport system (called ‘Metropolitain' or ‘Metro' in French). Head off to the Champs Elysees and when you get out of the Metro, you won't miss it!
The Tour Eiffel will be standing in Front of you. (pretty amazing feeling to see this monument built over 150 years ago)
When you are there you can either take a lift to go at the top or if you feel like doing a bit of exercise, you can take the stairs. Few years ago, a Frenchman did it with his bike!
